Waterjet cutting – precision without heat

In waterjet cutting, an extremely fine water jet with a pressure of up to 4,000 bar is used to cut materials precisely. For harder materials such as stainless steel, ceramics or composite materials, an abrasive (e.g. garnet sand) is added to the water, which significantly increases the cutting performance. The big advantage: the process does not require any thermal effects. As a result, there is no deformation, no tarnishing and no structural changes in the material – even with the most sensitive materials.

Water instead of laser – where other processes reach their limits

Compared to laser cutting, waterjet cutting scores particularly well with thick or heat-sensitive materials. The high cutting precision and the ability to cut out almost any shape make the process the ideal choice for individual special parts or complex geometries.
